I installed on March your thema version 2.0.1.
Now I realized that there were updates and I downloaded the latest version 2.1.0.
The correct procedure for upgrading your theme to the latest version is: overwrite all files in the “mercantile” folder with those extracted from the “mercantile.2.1.0.zip” file?
I use child theme where I customized the theme.
I did not find any info in the documentation.

If you added theme license on the Appearance – License, you will get the theme updates notification on dashboard and you can just click on update button to make theme updated. If not, you can replace all files with the new files.
If all the customization is made on child theme, that is good.
We recommend you to backup all files and database before update the theme.
