Generally you need to change template part inside template-part of the theme
content.php is for blog/archive/search/category listing post page
content-single.php is for single post
content-page.php is for single page

if you are using child theme you can easily override this template files.

Yes you can show/hide feature image on all single posts or selected single post only.
Go to Appearance => Customize => Single Post Option => Feature Image Option, and select No Image from drop down.

2. There may be way but using the theme options itself is easiest way => Customizing > Layout/Design Option > Category Color Options
3. Select a selector of div or in general you can use the following custom CSS:

.entry-content a {
    color: blue;
}

4. The only option is to customize the theme
5. It may or may not work, you can try
