What about the e-mail?
phoenixParticipantI solved the problem, it’s about hosting service. It conflicts with a critical file about safety, needs to be talked with your hosting firm.
phoenixParticipantMaybe I am new on web and absolutely not a developer, but I know how to enable, disable, install or remove plugins. There is no extension choice before installation and even it says installed on plugins page, It does not give me a chance to activate it. a button appears “connect to wordpress.com” When I click on it, it gives the error I mentioned above. I can’t find any manual selection of any extension before the installation.
phoenixParticipant“4. Check your XMLRPC file. You can do this by going to your web site URL and adding “/xmlrpc.php” to the end (without the quotes). When it loads in your browser, you should see “XML-RPC server accepts POST requests only.” on a line by itself.
If you see this message, but it is not on a line by itself, a theme or plugin is displaying extra characters when it shouldn’t. See points 2 and 3 above for debugging steps.
If you get an 404 Error Not Found message, contact your web host. They may have security in place that is blocking XML-RPC.”
That is what written on the support page of Jetpack:
phoenixParticipantThanks for your response.
Just installed but couldn’t connect to wordpress.com. It gives this error:
Error Details: The Jetpack server could not communicate with your site’s XML-RPC URL. Please check to make sure http://planetwicked.com/xmlrpc.php is working properly. It should show ‘XML‑RPC server accepts POST requests only.’ on a line by itself when viewed in a browser and should not have any blank links or extra output anywhere.
I couldn’t even connect to the plugin. How can I deactivate photon extension before connecting? Is that possible?
phoenixParticipantHi again,
@Adriana, could you change your theme to normal? I need some plugin like jetpack since sumome created other issues. I’ve been working on Sumome but it only works well for pro versions otherwise visitors have to see its brand name on our sites and that doesn’t look nice as you can guess. Has your theme changed to normal after uninstalling Jetpack? And have you found an alternative so far?
phoenixParticipantHi all,
I want to know whether Jetpack is not consistent with the theme or not?
That plugin is very important. I was just about to add it.
Btw, I have another issue: I can’t change permalinks structure to the custom mode. I check the box and save but nothing changes even it says my preference is saved. Is this a problem or am I missing something?
Thanks.
phoenixParticipantThank you icrytic for previous posts. But I am totally new on this and I have no idea about where I can find XML, DAT and WIE files. I started to shaping my contents but it doesnt look just like the demo obviously. I couldn’t find any video tutorials in English on web for the theme also. @support team, a comprehensive tutorial including not only for importing the demo but also other things would be really nice and more helpful than typing. Because that might take really much time for everyone.
